We only build custom where it earns its place. On EmDash that code is part of the site itself, and any plugin we do use runs in its own sandbox. If a well-maintained plugin does the job properly, we’ll tell you and save you the money.

How long does a build take?
It depends on scope. A straightforward brochure site is usually a few weeks; anything with custom functionality, integrations or e-commerce runs longer. You get a realistic timeline at consultation, before you commit to anything.
What's the difference between design and development?
Design is how the site looks and how someone moves through it. Development is what it does: forms, bookings, payments, integrations. Anything that has to actually work rather than just display.
Will my site work properly on phones?
Yes. Every build is designed mobile-first and tested on real devices, not just resized in a desktop browser. Most of your visitors will arrive on a phone, so that's where we start.
Do I need a content management system?
If you want to update your own content, yes. New sites get EmDash, where you log in, edit a page and publish, and online stores get WordPress. If your content genuinely never changes, we’ll tell you rather than sell you something you’ll never log into.
Do you host what you build?
Yes. EmDash sites run on Cloudflare’s network with a 30-day restore, and WordPress sites on Google Cloud with daily offsite backups, so there’s one place to go when something needs attention.
