A small business website in Colorado Springs costs anywhere from about $20 a month if you build it yourself to $3,000 and up for a one-time build from a local agency. Monthly plans sit in between: the build, hosting and upkeep for one fee, which on ours starts at $49 a month. The sticker price is only half the comparison. The other half is what happens after launch, and who pays for it.

Every price below comes from a public pricing page, checked in October 2026. Most local agencies don't publish prices at all, so these are the ones you can actually compare.

The short answer

  • Build it yourself on Squarespace or Wix: from under $20 to $29 a month on a yearly plan, plus your own time
  • A one-time build from a Colorado Springs agency: published starting prices of $3,000 to $3,900 for up to five pages
  • A monthly plan that includes the build: ours run $49, $99 or $750 a month
  • A quick one-time site: $299 through Quickstart Sites, then $19 a month to keep it online

Building it yourself

On Squarespace's pricing page, the Basic plan is $19 a month paid yearly or $25 paid monthly, and Core is $29 or $39. Basic also takes 2% of anything you sell through the site. Wix's cheapest paid plan comes in under $20 a month on a yearly plan.

What that price leaves out is you. You pick the template, write every page, size the photos, set up the contact form and check it works on a phone. When something breaks or Google stops showing the site, you're the one who finds out why. For a business owner with the time and the interest, that's a fair trade.

A one-time build from a local agency

Two Colorado Springs studios publish their prices. One starts at $3,000 for up to five pages and $5,000 for up to seven, and says most local businesses it works with land between $5,000 and $8,000. The other starts at $3,900 for up to five pages and $10,100 for five to ten.

Neither pricing page lists a monthly cost for hosting or maintenance, and that's the line to ask about. A one-time build pays for the site as it is on launch day. Hosting, software updates, security fixes and the small changes every business needs during the year are usually billed separately or not covered at all. Get those numbers in writing before you compare quotes.

A monthly plan

This is how we sell websites, so weigh this section with that in mind. On a monthly plan there's no build invoice up front. The design, hosting, updates and a set number of revision hours sit inside one monthly fee.

  • Managed Site Plan, $49 a month: hosting and SSL, up to 5 custom designed pages at launch, 1 hour of revisions a month
  • Startup Plan, $99 a month: up to 10 pages at launch, schema markup, basic SEO on every page, 2 hours of revisions a month
  • Growth Plan, $750 a month: everything above plus SEO strategy, 4 to 8 blog posts a month and a CRM

There's no contract, and the site and domain belong to you if you leave. The trade-off is that you keep paying for as long as you keep the plan. Before you choose any option, add up what it costs over the number of years you expect to keep the site. The full plan details are on our website plans from $49 a month page.

The fast, one-time option

Some businesses need a simple site live this month and nothing more. Our sister service, Quickstart Sites, builds a five-page site for $299 one-time, finished in 5 business days once payment and the onboarding form are in. Keeping it online is $19 a month or $190 a year, and changes after launch are $75 an hour. There's no blog and no store, which is the point.

What moves the price up

  • More pages. Every agency price above is tied to a page count.
  • Selling online. A store needs products, payments, shipping and tax set up. One of those two studios starts its store builds at $5,000, and Squarespace's Basic plan takes 2% of every sale.
  • Booking, member logins or connections to other software
  • Writing and photos. If nobody has written the words yet, someone has to, and stock photos rarely look like your business.

Three questions to ask before you pay anyone

Who owns the site and the domain if you stop paying? What does it cost each month after launch, and what does that cover? Who makes changes, and how fast? A quote that answers all three is one you can compare. If you'd like to see how we answer them, start with website design in Colorado Springs.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a basic five-page website cost in Colorado Springs?

From the local agencies that publish prices, $3,000 to $3,900 as a one-time build. On a monthly plan with us, a five-page site is included in the Managed Site Plan at $49 a month.

Is it cheaper to build a website myself?

In cash, yes. Squarespace starts at $19 a month paid yearly, and Wix's cheapest paid plan is under $20. The cost is your time, both to build it and to keep it working.

Do I own my website on a monthly plan?

With us, yes. The site and the domain are yours, and if you leave we hand over your content and help move the domain. Ask any provider the same question before you sign.
